Home to the highest active volcano in Indonesia, a stop over in the Kerinci Valley offers something for everyone.

Unwind among vibrant rice fields, wandering buffalo and quaint villages or trek through the national park to breathtaking waterfalls. Even the most intrepid adventurers will leave satisfied after facing the challenging ascent of this record-breaking volcano.

Romes Iregia, father of three, was born right here in this secluded valley. He works part-time as an English teacher in the local school, and has many hobbies including stone shaping/shining, and finding new paths through the mountains.

On top of this, he has set up a Volunteer Program which, over the past 3 years, has received visitors from all corners of the globe.
