If Mount Kerinci seems like too much of a challenge, why not try climbing Mount Tujuh next door? At the top, you will find Indoniesia's highest lake, the gorgeous Danau Gunung Tujuh.

Mount Kunyit Trek

Mount Kunyit is the most difficult trek we offer. Take on this rarely visited volcano for a rigorous, but extremely rewarding, challenge.

The trail head is a two hour drive from the homestay.

3 days, 2 nights

Day 1: Drive to trail head and begin hiking.

Day 2: Summit the volcano! After the summit, climb down into the crater, home to Taman Dewa, or Garden of the Gods.

Day 3: Hike back to the base, passing through hot springs and wetlands.
