To complete your Sumatran adventure why not stay with a local family! Romes can prepare a spacious guest room for you in his own home, equipped with double bed, towels, hot and cold drinking water, open air shower and mosquito net.
The guest room is large enough to accommodate more people if you are travelling in a group or family, just let Romes known in advance and he will arrange sleeping mats and extra bedding.
The village of Pasar Siulak Gedang has plenty of small shops, fruit stalls and local restaurants for grabbing a bite to eat. Monday morning is market day, don’t miss it!
*As is common for most houses in the area, Romes’s home does experience short power-cuts. He runs a generator when the electricity is down.
