Due to the surrounding mountains and steady rainfall, Kerinci is home to innumerable waterfalls. Some of these can be reached by motorbike, others can only be accessed by hiking deep into the dense jungle.
It is advisable to inquire about the difficulty of the hike before setting off. It is possible to reach some of the waterfalls alone but for many, our local guides will be of great assistance.

Bring your camera (and a waterproof sack) to catch pictures of the beautiful surrounding flora and fauna!
Remember that Sumatra is a Muslim country, please respect this by dressing conservatively (even in the jungle). Cover shoulders and legs (at least to the knee) both while you hike and cool off in the water. Bikinis, for example, are not appropriate clothing.
Pack snacks and lots of drinking water.
