Lake Kaco (Danau Kaco) makes for a wonderful day trip. It is a 1.5 hour drive from the homestay.

This small lake is nestled deep in the jungle and requires a bit of a hike to reach (around two hours from where the car is parked). It’s well worth the walk though-- Kaco looks like it came straight out of a fairytale! The waters are an enchanting blue, a beautiful contrast to the surrounding jungle. You can see all the way to the bottom of these crystal clear waters despite the lake's depth!
